1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website or use a web application. They help the app remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and improve your experience.

Site Skills Passport Ltd uses cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage) to provide, protect, and improve RoofPass Pro. This policy explains what we use, why we use it, and how you can manage it.

2. Cookies we use

Essential cookies. These cookies are strictly necessary for the app to function. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), essential cookies do not require your consent as they are required to deliver the service you have requested. They cannot be disabled without preventing you from using the app.

Functional storage. In addition to cookies, we use browser local storage to maintain your session and preferences.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, Google Analytics, or any third-party analytics services. We do not profile your behaviour for marketing purposes.

3. Third-party cookies

We use Stripe for payment processing. When you interact with a payment form, Stripe may set its own cookies to process your payment securely and prevent fraud. These cookies are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.

We use Supabase to host and manage our database and authentication. Supabase authentication tokens are stored as described in Section 2 above.

We do not use any advertising networks, social media tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies.

4. Managing cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

View cookies currently stored on your device
Block cookies from specific websites
Delete all cookies

Please note that if you disable or delete essential cookies, the app will not function correctly — you will not be able to sign in or use the service.

To clear your session data, simply sign out of the app. This will remove your authentication tokens from local storage and end your session securely.

5. Consent

As we only use essential cookies that are strictly necessary to provide the service, we are not required under PECR to obtain your prior consent for these cookies. By using RoofPass Pro you acknowledge our use of essential cookies as described in this policy.

If we introduce any non-essential cookies in the future (for example, analytics), we will update this policy and seek your consent before setting them.

6. Updates to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We will notify you of any significant changes via email or in-app notification.

Notes for solicitor / technical review:

Confirm with a technical audit that RoofPass Pro sets no cookies/local storage beyond the auth pattern shown (Section 2) — likely accurate given shared infrastructure with Site Skills Passport, but not yet directly verified for this specific project.
Confirm payment processor (Stripe, presumed).
Note: unlike Site Skills Passport's Cookie Policy, this version has no push notifications section, as RoofPass Pro does not currently have that feature. Add a section if push notifications are built in future.
